Cullompton Bowling Club

 

Cullompton bowling club was established in 1901 making it one of the oldest clubs in the country. The bowling green is one of the finest in Mid Devon and can accommodate 6 rinks. Our season runs from mid-April to mid-September. We are situated just a short walk from the town centre in the CCA Fields.

 

The green is used throughout the season for:

 mens, ladies and mixed competitive league games

 friendly games against local clubs and touring teams

 national,county and club competitions 

 

The clubhouse has undergone many renovations leaving us with the clubhouse we have today, in 2014 the club installed a bar which was in memory of club president Brian Ellis, the bar was named the 'Ellis End' in his memory.

 

Cullompton bowling club is a warm friendly club to visit and its location just off the M5 makes it a perfect place for touring teams to visit on the way or the way home from southern Devon or Cornwall. For more information please click here.

 

The club and bar are open every Friday evening during the season at 6.30pm for clubnight, this attracts many members and also the odd person who wants to try bowls.

New members or people just wanting to give it a try are warmly welcomed to the club and there are many members on hand to assist and coach. If you are interested in giving bowls a try, all you need is a pair of trainers as we have a wide range of bowls to suit.
